About Me
I have always loved to write and I feel I write best when I feel strongly about something. My writing often strikes people as dark and depressing, which is completely at odds with my actual personality. I have completed two novels focusing on different types of abuse and am currently working on a third one (werewolf romance, because why not?).
I love to write about people I know. When I decided to take it seriously, I started by writing a series called ‘The Red Thread of Fate’ on people who have influenced my life (on Instagram and FaceBook). This was my way of reaching out to people who I had once been very close to, but had drifted away over from the years, and it helped me reconnect with them.
I am a Leo, but I have been told by ‘experts’ that I display none of the qualities that are associated with the astrological sign. I am, however, content with this since my better half/soul mate is a Scorpio and, as per the zodiac, we aren’t compatible. Yes, I am married and I have two adorable yet naughty little boys.
My head is usually buzzing with thoughts and ideas (which I freely share with others). This keeps me awake many nights and has seen me start and wind up a few business ventures. I have a gazillion ideas for stories and blogs in my mind which seem to escape my grasp every time I sit down to write them. *sigh*
I have been told that I am very easy to talk to, especially by complete strangers, which is why working as a moderator for qualitative research was the ideal job for me. I actually enjoyed writing the reports and traveling as well. I had always wanted to be a psychologist but I realized that my inability to set clear boundaries and being an empath might not be ideal for this profession.
I love chai and can have it any time of the day, but I must always have it in a mug. Since it has to be just the right temperature, I might end up drinking the same mug of chai for hours, re-heating it multiple times and sometimes forgetting it in the microwave. It’s a science!
Based on points 4 and 5, I relate with the term ConfusedEmpath which I coined for myself over a decade ago and have stuck to with some variation. You can check out my work on these platforms:
